We provide contract proofs on the correct substrate, web enabled digital proofs to strip time and costs out of the process even set up onsite proofing within our clients facilities on calibrated proofing equipment.
Press Fingerprinting is one of the essential aspects of good colour management practice. It also helps reduce time, costs and error. Our technical team visit our client’s printers to perform the process to instil good printer relationships and confidence and validate that the settings used on the press and in pre-press will give the optimum result. We can revisit the process remotely should any of the variables change i.e. substrates, ink, varnish, press characteristics etc.
As a result of the fingerprinting and colour management processes we can produce ‘locked’ print files to the specification of the actual press intended to produce the client’s job. The file has all the specifications necessary to produce high-resolution printed output, without requiring any additional alteration or intervention. In other words, our client’s printer can use the file “as submitted” to successfully print the desired packaging results. In fact no press attendance should be necessary to ensure the result is correct, thus saving our client even more expense.
